Meet Sam Jolley
Sam broke free from the formal education = success paradigm and quickly found refuge in self-learning and entrepreneurship. With his ever-patient wife at his side, Sam continuously reads new books and blogs to learn how to become a more effective entrepreneur and provider of massive value. While he enjoys experimenting on his own sites and bringing tangible, real results to his clients, he continues to find the most joy while spending time with his family.
Personal Origin Story
Hi, I’m Sam. I was a typical kid growing up, did pretty well in school, played sports and did some cool volunteering. But I was never really satisfied. I almost felt afraid to come in first place for some bizarre reason. I struggled with that for several years. In college, I pursued entrepreneurship on my own, outside of my normal schedule. I grew restless with the traditional beliefs of formal education > job > delayed retirement, so I took the leap and started a business with some friends. We learned A TON while starting that business, but we ultimately closed down.
I continued in my non-traditional business endeavors and started a web design company that specialized in WordPress, and specifically building Genesis Child Themes. While I earned money, it wasn’t exactly the freedom money I was hoping for. To increase my own sales, I dove (& continue to dive) into sales, marketing, and personal development resources put out by the best in the business.
I continue to serve my Lead Generation & Marketing clients through Jolley Digital LLC, where I produce tangible results day after day.
Sam’s Guiding Principles
Throughout my life, I’ve had the privilege of learning from those closest to me, as well as through the teachings of the brightest minds in the world through reading. Here are few principles that I live by.
1. Failure is the best teacher. Learn from it fast and often!
Failure isn’t truly a failure unless you learn nothing from it. Dust yourself off, pick yourself up, and figure out the lessons to be learned.
2. Always be Learning.
High School and College. Great times. Remember much? : ) It’s part of the human condition to need to continuously learn and grow, to work on something fulfilling and greater than ourselves. Develop a passion for learning, be it through reading books, listening to audiobooks, or networking with successful people.
3. Whatever you do, have fun and be the best.
No one likes second-rate work, and I don’t think you’d like producing it, either. In my experience, the most productivity and highest quality work come from a mixture of letting loose and having fun, and consistent work to be better at whatever you do.
This is where my progress and understanding really took off. Read Sam’s meaningful notes and reviews of the top Business, Marketing, and Self-Improvement books.
